> Consistently, after being logged on for a couple of hours, dali clock dies.
Dali clock is a processor hog. This doesn't surprise me. It probably also
doesn't manage memory perfectly.
That being said, I should point out to you that xdaliclock is located
in the potluck locker. You should not send mail to bug-sipb about
something that's not in the sipb locker, much less in the potluck
locker.
Excerpt from /mit/potluck/README :
>> The potluck locker exists as a public repository for software/
>> documentation/utilities, etc that people think may be of interest to the
>> Athena community.
>>
>> The policy on submissions is simple: Anyone can submit anything.
Nothing in potluck is guaranteed to be supported, or even work. If it is
maintained at all, each individual program is maintained by the person who
put it there. To see what this person's username is, use the -l flag to
/bin/ls. It should be the third column or so.
orson-scott-card% ls -la /mit/potluck/decmipsbin/xdaliclock
-rwxr-xr-x 1 tompalka 204800 Feb 18 16:02 /mit/potluck/decmipsbin/xdaliclock
Any maintainance of xdaliclock is most likely to be done by tompalka. I suggest
you send him bugs for xdaliclock. He may try to fix it. He'll probably just
ignore you; xdaliclock is far from a critical resource.
