Hi Eric...
It's actually not quite as minor as you'd think to make all the
newsreaders consistent, but that's not really a big deal - the main
`big deal' is that we've had requests from users to *not* change it
(although not many either way), because <$USER@athena.mit.edu> will
work fine, and `finger $USER@athena.mit.edu' returns ``better'' output
than `finger $USER@mit.edu' - user-specified planfile, info, etc.
I've yet to hear a convincing argument either way, and since the
posting programs allow one to put pretty much anything there, I
haven't seen a strong reason to make the changes. (I believe this
applies to the other people dealing with the issue, too.)
If you've got a good reason that you'd like to see it changed, let us
know, and we'll ign-err, consider it. ;-)
