Hi,

I'm using the gcc in /afs/sipb/project/gnu/bin/ with -g and no
optimizing flag to link a program called mitmap in
/mit/crldev/src/mitmap/ui. It links fine but when I run the program, it
produces the error :

[95] /mit/crldev/src/mitmap/ui> mitmap
Could not load program mitmap
Could not load library libc.a[shr.o]
Error was: No such file or directory

What is it trying to do? I don't want to use shared library.
I wasted half an hour and finally found out that if I use cc to link, it
doesn't give me this problem.

This program requires a lot of libraries, don't know if that makes gcc
unhappy or what. If you have more questions about the code and libraries,
feel free to ask me. But basically the Makefile tells a lot already.

Gilbert
