The way the libraries are constructed in /usr/athena/lib/shared will be
changing with the next Athena release. If you want your programs to
work with both versions, do not link against the shared X libs; this is
why the rules in /usr/athena/config were not very amenable to linking
with shared libs.
(Next version, they will be more amenable to this, as I will have some
version control built into them).
Programs that are affected include xscreensaver and xrn.
