I installed the most recent version of joe (Joe's Own Editor) in the
sipb locker. This is a very simple, user friendly editor. I had
installed previous version in potluck because I did not consider it
stable enough for general use, and it wouldn't compile on the RS/6000.
It works on the RS/6000 now, and I have more confidence in it than
before.
This is a real hold-your-hand editor. The keybindings and menus are
configurable. Just copy the system joerc file into $HOME/.joerc and
modify to your liking.
