I just intalled in my jiktest account a .Xresources file containing
the following:
XScreensaver*encryptedKey: abPFSdZY3k876
That encrypted string corresponds to the password "foobarbaz".
I then logged in as jiktest on each of the following types of
machines:
VAXstation 3100 (1 monochrome, 1 color)
Personal DECstation 5000/25
VAXstation II/RC
DECstation 3100
IBM POWERstation 320H
SPARCstation IPX
On each of these machines, I ran "add sipb; xscreensaver", locked the
screen from the menu, and attempted to unlock it using the password
"foobarbaz". On all machines, I had no trouble unlocking.
Therefore, in summary, I have no idea why you are experiencing what
you are experiencing. I can't duplicate it. If you can figure out
how to duplicate it, let me know, and I'll try to track it down.
