I noticed a few months ago, and did report the problem, although not
here (see [0283] in sipb-staff or [0059] in sipb-bitnet).

Last August, amgreene did some work on
this by providing a SIPB motd program. I don't think it's unreasonable
to tell users about this, and maintain the files it accesses (if
nothing else, update the symlinks from /usr/sipb/$bindir to have
/afs/athena/user/a/m/ in the path to amgreene's homedir).
