clicking in the scrollbar on the left can scroll the list of
articles forward but cannot scroll a page backwards.
Just as with any other scrollbar that is part of an Athena widget set
client, the left button scrolls forward a page, the right button
scrolls backward a page, and the middle button moves to whereever
you've got the mouse in the scrollbar.
space and 'b' do scrolling on the article text (what other magic
characters are there to avoid hunting for buttons),
Scrolling commands in the Athena Text widget are similar to scrolling
commands in Emacs. C-v scrolls forward a page, M-v scrolls back a
page, M-< goes to the beginning of the article, M-> goes to the end of
the article, etc. Also, space scrolls forward a page.
but what keys
or buttons scroll the top area with the list of articles.
You can use 'n' or 'p', C-n or C-p, and 'N' or 'P' to scroll. You can
also select articles with the mouse. See the man page.
how do i scroll back to the first article in the list?
You scroll up to it as described above, and then click the middle
mouse button on it to view it.
i presume that the list-old button lists all articles, even those
read in previous sessions?
Yes.
maybe i am just missing some documentation, but i could not do
man xrn,
If you type "add sipb", you should then be able to run "man xrn".
