Right, it does look like RICVM does not recognize the name MITSIPB, or
else there is some other software problem on their end that's causing
communication to fail. I've sent mail to the system administrators at
RICVM to try to get the situation corrected.
In the meantime, the only alternative I can suggest is using the
'talk' command to the host grog.ric.edu. This is a different system at
Rhode Island College, but if the person has an account on "grog", or
can get one, talk connections should be possible.
