I think deleting is the only useful approach.
You might want to provide a file called cal.NOT_ANY_MORE, or
something, in the sipb locker, for the benefit of people who use the
'ls' command, but you shouldn't have anything called cal unless you're
supporting cal.
Besides what Barry said, some of us use cal in scripts, rather than
interactively. For example, I use it to generate directory names (some
of you know about this; if you don't, you probably don't want to
know...).
