I suggest you lengthen the amount of time xscreensaver attempts
to exit before the reboot message comes up, in order to save wear on the
machines. I use the logoutCommand option to run a shell script that takes
about 30 seconds; people routinely reboot me because they are too impatient
to wait for me to logout.
OK, I've changed the text in the button from "ten to fifteen seconds"
to "about a minute." Note that there is no hard-coded delay before
that message comes up -- it simply comes up after the logout command
is finished executing. It's not clear to me what else I can do about
your problem, because I don't want to deal with putting a delay in
before popping up that message -- it would complicate the code
considerably.
