Hi. xalarm doesn't seem to work.
For example when I try :
xalarm -time +0 "Hi"
it does nothing and also nothing appears at ps -gu.
I have sipb attached.

Many X programs in the sipb locker require the XFILESEARCHPATH
environment variable to be set in order to work properly, since they
are installed in a non-standard location (i.e., not in /usr/bin/X11).
Add this to your .environment file:
setenv XFILESEARCHPATH /mit/sipb/lib/%T/%N:/usr/lib/X11/%T/%N
Then log out and log in again, and xalarm should work fine.
