xfig problem with export to file

There was a recent question in OLC reporting a problem with xfig. The
user obtained the error
Error during EXPORT (unable to find fig2dev?)
This is produced in /mit/sipbsrc/src/xfig/u_print.c.
Unlike the
Error during PRINT (unable to find fig2dev?)
problem from earlier this week, it doesn't seem to be a case of buffer
overflow due to a long file name, although I could be wrong on this.
If you're interested in trying to fix this, you should probably read
the OLC log file, [20754] in OLC-other.
It was a case of buffer overflow (compounded with another bug), and it
has been corrected.
