I had essentially the same problem with the 0.5.1 version, so I went
with a CVS snapshot that's only a day old. (The mailing list certainly
seems to agree that there's been a server side change.) I built it for
i386_rhel4 and sun4x_510 (and released it into the sipb locker), and
didn't remove the earlier version because it's built for older sysnames.
It still seems to print mysterious errors such as:
#Unknown type 29: 0 1.
but I found a build option to disable the "scripting" functionality
which uses the FIFO and generates an error message when the user's
homedir is in AFS.
I haven't tested it beyond whether it will allow me to connect and stay
connected for >20s.
Ron, do you need a sun4x_59 build, or were you merely using that due to
binary compatibility? Please let us know if you have any problems with
it.
-Camilla
