	Hi there.

I have noticed that the character sequence 'fi' in a tex file does
not show up in the printed document when I use dvips. After considerable
trial and error I have noticed that this occurs only when I use timron or
newcen option in the documentstyle command.

Thus if xdvi is used to preview a file xdvi says :

Can't find font t-rom; using cmr10 instead at 330 dpi

and the output looks OK. But when I print it or preview the ps file instead
of dvi all the 'fi' s are removed!

I am making a file test.dvi in ~/latex readable so that you can see
and take a look.

I have set the TEXFONTS variable to the following :

.:/mit/sipb/lib/tex/fonts/tfm:/mit/sipb/lib/tex/fonts/vf:/mit/kiran/dev/lib:/usr/athena/lib/tex/fonts

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

	Kiran Dandekar
