Well, I tried logging into vax.dialup.mit.edu (because it's running 7.2
and my workstation is not), and I ran emacs -u, and then I loaded your
.emacs.elc, and then I tried running discuss, and I was unable to
duplicate your problem.
Could you try running "emacs -u", so that none of your customizations
are loaded, and then try loading and running discuss? Perhaps something
was getting autoloaded out of your Elisp directories that wasn't when I
was trying to duplicate your problem. Thanks!
