I would like to know who took it upon themselves to modify the files
in /mit/dictionary, without sending mail saying that they'd done so to
bug-sipb, and more importantly, without rebuilding the Index files.
If you do not understand how the webster server works, please do not
take it upon yourself to fix problems with it, because you're quite
probably going to screw things up. When files in the dictionary
database are modified, the index must be rebuilt, using
/afs/sipb/project/sipbsrc/rt/webster/src/misc/makeindex.
If you fix something that is reported to bug-sipb, then send mail to
bug-sipb saying that you've done it, *especially* if you are not the
regular maintainer of whatever you've fixed.
Thank you for your support.
