I'm willing to take a look at the hearts server on three conditions:

Well, experimenting with it on charon while you're trying to fix it is
not a win, so you're going to have to find another machine that you
can run the server on while trying to figure out what's causing it to
crash.

   I
   get any submitted bug reports,

the only bug reports we've seen are "the hearts server keeps
crashing." We don't know what's causing it. In any case, I've added
you to bug-sipb, so you will now see hearts problems as well as any
other problems with the sipb locker.

someone tells me where the server (or
   code, depending) lives,

The server lives on charon, but like I said, you'll probably want
somewhere else to debug it on.

The source code lives in the sipb locker, same as all the other sipb
source code. Try "look headers /mit/sipbsrc/FILES.look" for more
details.

and someone gives me the bits to fix
whatever's wrong (assuming I find it).

As I said, I've added you to bug-sipb. I've also added you to
gsipbbin, and to system:gsipbbin in the sipb cell, so you have write
access to the sipbsrc locker and to the sipb locker in the Athena
cell. Please don't change anything in the sipb locker until you've
discussed how to do so with someone already on gsipbbin (although, in
actuality, there isn't much about it that's complicated now that you
can install directly in the read-write locker and not have to worry
about saving old versions to avoid NFS swapping page faults).

Also, remember that all changes in the sipbsrc locker should be RCS'd.
Remember also that builds should take place in the build trees and not
in the src tree. Let me or bug-sipb know if you have any other
questions.

I should get around to writing a "how to maintain sipb software"
document at some point. In my copious free time :-).
