The bug you describe is in the Athena widget set Text widget, not in
xrn. I have reported this bug to them (about a year ago, in fact),
but they have not fixed it yet. This is mainly because they do not
have enough manpower to do any significant work on the Text widget,
because it's very complicated, and because they're considering writing
a new one and don't want to put a lot of work into the old one.
I doubt we're going to be able to fix this. I'm afraid you'll have to
live with it -- when the cursor disappears, you can usually hit ^L to
make it visible again.
