... refers to ${machtype} which is not set by the standard dotfiles
(nor for that matter by many non standard ones :-) ${hosttype},
however, is built in to /bin/csh, so I've changed the copy of the file
in the writable volume (I assume it'll eventually get released, but
rather than disturb anyone now I'll just wait. Besides, this is the
first time we've gotten a complaint about it.) Is there a source to
this file, that should be changed instead?
