   It seems to be reliably spinning when I try to run it. I flushed the
   volume but it didn't make any difference. There's a coredump in
   ~bjaspan/world.

I have no idea why it's spinning on you; I can't duplicate the
problem. Here's the stack trace of the core dump you provided:

_._XtConvertInitialize()  from _.XtToolkitInitialize+0x1a
_.XtToolkitInitialize()  from _._XtVaAppInitialize+0x1c
_._XtVaAppInitialize(  00000000,   00000000, r4=0x6b049994,
          00000000, 0x1fffc824, 0x1fffc9a4,   00000000,
        0x1fffc820)  from _.XtVaAppInitialize+0x20
_.XtVaAppInitialize(r2=0x00000006, r3=0x100190a4, r4=0x6b049994,
        r5=0x0002a47b, 0x1fffc824, 0x1fffc9a4,   00000000)  from _.main+0xfa
_.main(0x00000001, 0x1fffc9a4)  from start+0x2e
start(r2=0x00000006, r3=0x100190a4, r4=0x6b049994)

I'll look into it more if I have some time.
