I was using the webster program. If I use the wild card in front of hte
word I am trying to locate, the program bombs with the message, "The
webster server has failed to answer ...." For example if I search for
*zy (i.e all words that end in zy), I don't get a reply. On the other hand
I get a response when I try to search for words ending in ck (i.e. *ck)
What is going on? Is this a bug? I am not sure.
Sort of. Don't use wildcards at the front of words; it causes a
search which takes much too long, and the webster protocol can't
handle it which is why you get that error message.
