Hi, Larry. The trick is to use your .xresources file to make the initial
scale factor 4 (I do this, and some other frobs as well). Here are the
pertanent lines from my .xresources file:
XDvi.expert: true
XDvi.shrinkFactor: 4
XDvi.densityPercent: 25
XDvi*geometry: +100+0
All of these are documented on the man page.
