A feature that might be useful, would be to be able to just type
xlock
or something have automatically have you screen locked, just like
xscreensaver. But xlock would exit as soon as you unlocked the screen.
xlock would be a one shot program, it would lock, unlock, then exit.
it wouldn't bring up any xwindow of it's own. Most of this behavior can be
gotten with
xscreensaver -L
but it can be a pain to wait for the icon to come up and have to deal with
it later, and have the screen real estate taken up and have to deal with it
after you come back.
