   OK. Here is my .xzwrite.dest file
	   <MESSAGE,PERSONAL,norm>
	   <MESSAGE,PERSONAL,mjkreuze>
	   ....

The problem is that the "<" and ">" characters should not actually be
in the file; they are merely part of the notation used in the man
page. Thus, your file should look like this:

message,personal,norm
message,personal,mjkreuze

and so forth. I suppose this is a failing of the man page and I will
fix it.

   When I brought up xzwrite today, it had this list (I have no idea
   why):

xzwrite tries to determine who is zwriteable and removes people who
are not from the destination list. The method it uses is pretty good
but not perfect (it is described in the man page), and you can turn it
off completely if you wish (again, read the man page).

   Maybe I should just stick to usernames without the triples.

You should, although the only real reason is for readability. "norm"
is exactly like "message,personal,norm" because the class MESSAGE and
instance PERSONAL is assumed if no other is given.

Hope this helps..
