We should grab the latest version of the Official LaTeX style files
(from labrea.stanford.edu:/tex/latex); the latest latex.tex is <7 Dec 1989>.
The latex.tex pre-loaded into SIPB's and Athena' LaTeX is <4 Aug 1988>.
I've ftp'd the files, and put them into
/mit/sipbsrc/src/tex/distrib-latex. Caveats:
1. I wasn't sure the changes to lfonts.tex were safe to install, so I
put the new version in lfonts.tex.new. Someone who understands
things more (Andrew?) will have to take a look at the file to
verify the changes.
2. I haven't installed anything in the SIPB locker or built anything
with the new files, and I don't plan on doing it. It won't be all
that work; I'd appreciate it if someone else would find the time to
do it.
