{\tt foo\_bar} produces the text foobar with nothing between them.
The postscript code yields (foobar) s in the code; making a copy of
newcen.sty and changing c-med to c-med.distrib has no effect.
Anybody think they can fix this before Monday to get it into my
thesis? I can't tell why it loses... and I don't really want to use
the bitmap fonts (which *do* work...)
