I've just installed the most recent release of transfig in the sipb
locker.
This includes the programs fig2dev and transfig, the shell scripts
fig2ps2tex and pic2tpic, and them man pages fig2dev.1 and transfig.1.
Note that there is no longer a fig2latex -- "fig2dev -L latex" is
equivalent to fig2latex. I have installed a shell script, replacing
fig2latex, which calls fig2dev. This way, users who take advantage of
fig2latex will get the latest version of the software.
Note that we should point users at fig2dev in the future, not
fig2latex.
