Do we really want to keep X10 programs around, especially since almost
no one is using X10 (or should be using X10, anyways) and since we keep
on worrying about the size of the sipb filesystem?
My immediate answer would be no, but every time anything like this has
come up in the past, someone has claimed that there are people other
than Project Athena workstation users using sipb software, and they
may be using those programs.
Of course, we can't check to see when they were last accessed, since
AFS doesn't keep track of access times.
Perhaps we should put some effort into finding out if other people
really *are* using the sipb locker, or perhaps we shouldn't really be
caring any more whether or not they are. The sipb locker is in
Project Athena disk space, and I'm tempted to believe the logic that
it is there to provide service to Athena users. If non-Athena users
wont to use sipb software that Athena users can't, they should copy
the sources out of sipbsrc and compile it themselves.
