This is a known problem. It will hopefully be fixed once those of us
who do releases have the time... with the end of term crunch upon us,
and most of us writing our theses, software support is of low
priority.

Until very recently, the program didn't work at all on the RT anyhow.
The one the gives a segmentation fault will work at least on a few
machines here in the SIPB office and in E40; that is better than not
working anywhere at all.

When either the 6.0 release hits the field, or we have time to do a
system build from an old release (5.5) RT, xdvi will remain
unavailable on the RT.

For now, use it on a vax or vs2000; after the term ends, the problem
should be cleared up.
