From my 7.0 RT, I compiled and installed several RT binaries in
contrib.sipb, based on Richard's claim that if I explicitly linked
against the 6.4R C library when linking the binaries (e.g. by mounting
a 6.4R srvd on /mnt and including "/mnt/lib/libc.a" in the link
libraries), I would have no problem with the kernel changes.
This does not appear to be the case, because rrn compiled in this
fashion has various problems running on 6.4R RT workstations.
I have just relinked and reinstalled (on a 6.4R RT) all binaries
owned by me that are less than a month old. I would *very* much
appreciate it if the sipb volume could be released as soon as
possible, so that these fixed binaries will be useable to RT users.
Thank you.
