It isn't the most build friendly package, but it (naim 11.5.5) is in
the im locker (for Solaris and Linux) now and seems to work, though I
didn't test it more than minimally. I didn't compile it with the
(experimental) MSN, Yahoo, or HTML support, though I might do so, if
it isn't too tricky.

Another (curses based) client you might want to checkout is centericq
(also in the im locker for solaris and linux), which supports AIM,
ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, and IRC.
