Stopped in after crossing the border from..Canada, looking for breakfast because they serve all day. Unfortunately they close at 2 pm and we got there about... Everything about this place is outstanding....the cozy atmosphere, the beautiful view and the delicious food. We sat on the deck on a cool, but comfortable... Excellent subs, you have to try the turkey deluxe it's like Thanksgiving dinner in a bun.....Really fresh buns baked in the store, very nice. They made my morning. I had a roasted pepper and pesto panini for breakfast. So delicious! Prices are very good! Wish, I had a cafe like this in my home area! We are from Ontario and this is probably the best fish n chips I've had. I didn't have the chowder but someone at my table did and it looked and smelled... t I was expecting. Good mostly homemade food, nice friendly service. Since I was planning to spend the night in Calais, I had to find somewhere to pick up dinner. On my way to the motel from the new international bridge, I... Of the choices available, this one seemed the most inviting - especially with the promise of a river view.....It is very basic with a down home dining room... Love all there food! The peanut brittle salad is amazing \u0026 neatly crafted!! The ambiance in the bar area with the pianist is pretty romantic for a date... We really like the food and the service is very good. We have eaten here several times and it is very consistent. Weekend nights are very crowded and the... Wow! What a fantastic little place! Our family rented it out for our Thanksgiving and the staff were quite the hosts! They made some of our family favorites... Absolutely one of my favorites!! First I should say I'm new to the area, so I'm constantly on the hunt for the perfect local place to eat usually good local food. I was not disappointed... This place is hands down one of my favorite spots in Evansville. I can't speak for all of the menu but the Sauerbraten is delicious. The portions are large.... 3 of us went for Thursday night $5 burgers \u0026 endless fries. Hostess was disinterested (sitting behind hostess stand) that we had arrived and mumbled...
