First, it might be better for your friend to send mail herself,
instead, to make it easier for purposes of debugging.

Secondly, the next time your friend has gaim crash, tell her to send
me the following information:

The error messages that showed up - Just cut and paste into the email.

The hostname of the machine - To find this out, into a terminal type the command:
hostname

Into a terminal window, type the command
which gaim

Also, let me know what type of a machine it is. I.e, is it a Sun, or a
PC (an IBM or Dell running Linux). Is it something else by any chance?
