This patch series allows perl modules to register hooks for going idle and :away. It's been sitting at https://github.com/barnowl/barnowl/pull/49 for about a year since the last comment/suggestion on it, and I figured I'd send it out for review, since the thread at the pull request didn't seem to end conclusively.
