Hi Vicki,

* Have any of the three brothers wanting training printed with a
letterpress before? If yes, how many jobs?

* For a brother/pledge to use the press shop by themselves they have to
complete both a training run & a separate qualifying run. By
  different journeymen. =20
 =20
Either run take 6 to 12 or more hours depending on the complexity of
the job, and how quickly the trainee/qualifier catches on.

It's possible to do either run over two days, but most journeymen
prefer one session to cut down on the commute to MIT, and in some
cases not paying for parking twice.

* It would be great, if at least two of the three qualify. New press
operators often team print a job together. Beyond the fact that two
minds are better than one, one of them usually remember what the
  other forgot & vice-versa.
 =20
* Though it's up to the supervising journeyman, we usually do not do
jobs for clients as training or qualifying runs. The
trainee/qualifier doesn't have enough experience to get a good
  result.

We usually let the trainee/qualifier choose a job they wish to do,
  or assign a simple one.
 =20
* Wedding sets are among the most demanding printing we do. Most brides
  want a good clean job.
 =20
* Wedding sets are usually 4 separate pieces/jobs: a reply card, an
envelope for the reply, the invitation, an envelope to hold all three
of them. They can have fewer or more pieces.

* Please add all three brothers wanting to be trained to

or send me their email addresses and I will.

Please let all of them know they are on=20
