Hi Alex et al.
As AX just got a new Office Manager:
* the 3 cabinets outside the APOffice still needs to be
handled/used/reused.
see appended
* the used cloth outside the APOffice would be better taken to
http://web.mit.edu/facilities/environmental/reuse.html#clothing
then ending up as trash in a landfill

Subject: cabinet upgrade
Hi brothers
* I have replaced the solvent cabinet in the rear APOffice, with one I
got off reuse. The doors close very easily, which press-ops and other
flammables users will enjoy.
* I have replaced the historian's cabinet in the front APOffice, with
one I got off reuse. The new one isn't about to fall apart, and the
doors work much easier.
The old ones are outside the APOffice in the hall. I also moved the
legal size filing cabinet that was almost emptied by the last APOffice
re-org co-chaired by catherio and rhkeeler out to the hall. I believe
that was their intent at the time, but they ran out of time to finish
that piece of their downsizing. (The little that was in it is in the
adjacent filing cabinet.)
IMHO, the old historian cabinet is not worth repairing.
It's mostly made out of particle board, which is failing at the joints.
(If anyone wants advice on how to try to repair it, please ask.)
All three are labeled:
.|---------------|
.|...NOT.reuse...|
.|.APO.-.W20-415.|
.|---------------|
If AX has no use for them, offer them to reuse@mit.edu?
(and change the labels. ; - )
A dolly and two people should be suggested.
If the old historian cabinet doesn't get taken by reuse,
the piece of plywood on the back is worth saving.
Throw out the rest?
