It's quite possible that there is Garamond 8pt:
* mixed in with Clearface or another 8pt font case
* in the boxes of totally pied type on the galleys of undistributed
type

Have you checked the galleys with set type and mixed up type from old
jobs for Garamond 8pt?
In the tall wood rack to the left of the lock-up stone.
Clearface 8pt or Cloister O.S. (Old Style) 8pt are close matches to
Garamond 8pt.
Putting the type in the galleys away would be a big help to the shop.
People often run out of type in a case and it's in those galleys.
After that, we can talk about you could helping me put my recent
contributions to the shop away.

Hi
The garamond 8pt is not actually useable -- it is outright missing some
chars (lower case b,c, i, upper case H, P T) and only has two or three
instances for other chars (ie, there is only one lower case "i" in the case)
Len -- there are several unopened packages of type addressed to you in the
office. I'm afraid I wasn't paying too much attention to this list while
I was thesing, and now I can't find the messages about them in my
archives. Do you want help inspecting and sorting the type in those
packages? And do we have cases to sort the type into?
