Hello Rowan,
The APO press shop does print business cards. Unfortunately we're a little
low on man power right now and it may have to wait until the summer unless
I can find another interested press shop operator to complete the cards
before then.
Printing costs vary with each job. Basically, there is a setup fee and a
per-impression fee, in multiples of 100. The setup fee varies with the
complexity of the job, and the per-impression fee depends on the type of
paper used (you may either choose from our paper selection, or provide your
own). We can also order specialty papers at cost, but this postpones job
completion. In general, it costs $3.00 each time we must set up the press,
plus $0.10 per 100 impressions. This is to cover ink costs, and wear/tear
on the press. You can supply your own paper, or we can supply it at
$1.50/100 for white business card stock.
As for colors/layouts/schemes, I can probably give you a better idea of
what we have in person. We have most common colors (blue, black purple,
green, red, even silver and gold I think, etc.). We can do typical business
card layouts and schemes and we have a pretty good selection of fonts. It
depends what you're looking for.
If you are still interested, I will ask around and try to give you a better
idea on when this would happen.
Yours in Leadership, Friendship, and Service,
-Alex Westbrook (APO Press Shop Manager)
