Minor quibble: I'd prefer either Joe Kesselman, or my nickname, Keshlam.
"Joe Keshlam" sounds like you're calling for me twice.

I presume the major concern is that the block of type might have gotten
banged in transit? (As opposed to a manufacturing problem.)
If it's likely to just be a few letters, and if this isn't our sole
instance of that face and size, I'd be inclined to let it sort itself
out as jobs get proofed.
If it's likely to be enough to make working with the case generally
annoying, a pre-distribution proof seems more worthwhile. Especially if
it's in currently in a form that we can lock up quickly and easily.
(I wish I remembered my high school press shop a bit better. I seem to
remember our having a way to run a quick proof from the tray rather than
having to lock up into a chaise. Useful.)
