Greetings, all on this list!

Thank you for the two responses I received - both fellow brothers from =
the mid-1990s saying hi. A nice surprise.

Unfortunately, there was another surprise. I did not receive any answer =
from anyone active in the printshop. I must conclude that the printshop =
is completely overworked, to the point of not even sending an email =
saying so. As a brother knowing how thinly stretched the press =
journeyman skill is these days, I can understand. But it would =
unfortunate if non-APO people receive the same lack of attention after =
contacting the contact email address listed on =
http://web.mit.edu/apo/www/printing/ ("The sooner you contact us, the =
sooner arrangements (and timeline) can be made.")

A simple "Sorry, your job does not qualify." or "Sorry, we cannot honor =
your request at this time." would have been fully sufficient.

> My wife and I are expecting our first child at the end of January (due =
date January 29, 2011). Being at MIT again this year and as a former =
printshop apprentice, I was thinking of printing birth announcements on =
the APO press. Reading through the FAQ at =
http://web.mit.edu/apo/www/printing/ , I am unsure of whether the job is =
suitable. What is your opinion?
