if the embossing is happening over the seam of the envelope,
you need to make a mask (aka frisket), by cutting holes into one of the
envelopes, and attching it to the the tympan (top sheet of bedding)
you need the same number of 'sheets' of paper everywhere under the
print area
there is an old frisket made out of a no. 9 or no. 10 white envelope
on the bulletin board over the lockup stone. you can also do
selective bedding in pieces attached to the tympan
this is far easier to show than write about. one of the books in the
APOster letterpress shop library might have a picture(s) or more descrption
if it isn't a seam, check all the bedding on the platen to make sure
there isn't a half sheet whose edge is intersecting the print area
you could also make sure all of the furniture is true
otherwise, i need more info and/or to be there

Subject: tips on how to avoid embossing?
clearly kristin is printing, because she sends out like 30000 emails
asking for tips...
anyways.
I am printing addresses on these envelopes, and they keep embossing!!
D: I'm pretty sure the type is level... I've taken out bedding until
the the ink is faint, and it *still* embosses! any tips?
thanks,
Kristin
