hi press ops

to repeat something i emailed last year,
i will not help with jobs for private individuals.

but this is information useful to all.

PLEASE do NOT expose my email address OR name to the customer.

* type height on the APOster press shop letterpresses is

  .918" (inches)

the advice apo-silkscreen gives is also wise here:

  ** no fine lines
** high contrast - black on white
  ** no half-tones
  ** no color
  ** no greys
** full size, i.e. 100% (or if the service can do reductions, an
     even multiple of 100% e.g. 400%)

* an etching or other service that also does quick turnaround and
overnight shipping would be good to try. APOster can charge the
customer the extra costs, and APOster has often gotten requests to
  turn jobs around quickly

* there is no guarantee that the first service tried will provide a
  printable block

   Subject: Letterpress templates

   Hello!

I just met with Kristin for my print job and we talked about
potentially getting letterpress blocks made. I=E2=80=99ve found a few
leads (she said she=E2=80=99d be in touch as well), but I=E2=80=99m wond=
ering, what
is the size of blocks that you use in your letterpress? I=E2=80=99ve
learned there a few 1/4 inche, 11pt and 16 gauge.

   Thanks!
   Best,
   Jen
