i know of no one on/near mit who have done wood or linoleum blocks.
there are alumni far away ...

linoleum blocks also have to be .912 inches high

   if they are pictures we have type-ready, you just use them.
   
   other pictures need to be photo-engraved by an outside service.
   expensive.
   and we have to find a new service (the old one has closed), and can
   take @ least a week and probably several
   
   pictures with fine detail, half-toned or not, are hard to print well
   in our shop
   
   unless you are willing to hand cut wood. or linoleum.  which has some
   expense.  you have to buy the linoleum @ pearl. if they still stock
   it.  the shop have linoleum knives, care needs to be taken using them.
   wood needs to be very square/co-planer and the right height (.912
   inches).  we do NOT have wood carving tools, the linoleum knives don't
   work on wood.  i know of no one who has done either.
