hi cat,
glad we talked face2face about what stock you should consider ordering
1) as i said, imho, it be good to check and see if paperworks in
allston, or @ any of their other branches have
Ideal Jersey Round Corner Cards Size 63
and bring the inventory of each color up to 2,000 or 4,000
2) here is what lori t and i suggested to kkukn about ordering
announcements cards and envelopes
it be optimal to also stock the 4 kinds of LEE
sized announcements and folders in all 5 sizes in both colors
i.e. bring the inventory up to
- 30 kinds 250 each of the announcements
(3 styles by 5 sizes by two colors
- 10 kinds 500 each of the envelopes
(5 sizes by 2 colors.
we don't need to stock an envelope for each announcement,
just reorder more regularly
)
lori saids below:
"I think that the largest 1-2 sizes, plain-not paneled, in cream
and white would suffice.
many brothers, clients, and me find the panel cards classier
some clients like smaller announcements
3) just in time ordering would need to be flexible
paperworks might be temporarily, or permanently out of an item on
their web sight

I can pick up card stock at the Paper Center in
Allston, but note that they no longer carry all
sizes and colors, just a couple of each.

lori:
do they have their catalog on line?
so we can price it out?
if so, URL please
----------------------------------------------------------------------
kristin:
the inventory on invitation cards and envelopes is really low
we have 2 (maybe 3 or 4) sets of 250 cards & envelopes left
and ideally have at least 16 sets of 250 each
4 sizes (4, 5, 5 1/2, 6 bar)
by 2 colors (white, ivory)
by 2 styles (plain and paneled)
plus the 4,000 envelopes
would you like to meet me in the office, and put a list together
for lori to pick up, or should i just do it
(noting that all styles/sizes/colors may not be sold any longer)
it's likely to be several hundred dollars of paper
should you consult with the treasurer on that large a purchase?
otherwise, we'll be out of invite stock this spring or next fall ...
and that would delay printing by whatever time it takes to get stock
in
how would you like to proceed?

Hi, Len & Kristin.
...
PaperWorks
http://www.paperworks.com with prices
450 Cambridge St., Allston, MA 02134
617-787-2055
Norman Garcia is still this store's manager, and he can
tell you what they still get along with current prices.
He can pre-order and amass what is needed and give you the
total cost in advance. Don't forget to tell him about being
sales tax exempt.
http://www.paperworks.com/page/paperworks/CTGY/Announcements
shows, 4, 5, 5.5, 6, and LEE panel and plain cards, and 4, 5.5, 6, LEE
folders
The only affordable smooth (non-linen) colors seem to be white and cream.
Some envelopes are shown here, but
http://www.paperworks.com/page/paperworks/CTGY/AIE
shows more envelopes: A2, A6, A7, A8, A9
Yilfs,
Lori

I think that the largest 1-2 sizes, plain-not paneled, in cream and white

People seem to have so much to say that I think that the largest size would
give press ops more flexibility in fonts and leave important, unprinted
space.

Shipping will cost more $ and require someone to accept the package.
I would rather bring it over from Kresge Parking Lot, perhaps asking
brothers to bring down cart or help if there is too much for my
backpack....
> * cream is close enough to ivory
I didn't see ivory on the PaperWorks product list. Colors vary by brand.
