hi printers
* the large press has a strange double quick squeak-squeak.
noises like that means wear, which could cause the press to fail.
if any of you can find out what is causing that squeak-squeak, or
any other unusual noise, please let me and us know, so we can figure
out how to stop the wear.
* because of this, i fully oiled the large press. the squeak-squeak
did not go away. it will run faster for a while.
* several years back, the round corner cards that we use for LSC and
other jobs stopped being made. at the current rate of use, it will
be some years until we are out of them.
it might still be possible to find some in inventory from the paper
suppliers. perhaps the shop should stock up on them?
we could also get a corner making machine, but the blades regularly
need to be replaced, and it be expensive. and it's another
dangerous machine, that people would have to carefully use and be
trained on.
