Hi all,
I've been thinking that Mitch as Press Shop Manager, or maybe me,
should send apo-exec@mit.edu an email at the start of each term,
pointing out ways that the APOster Letterpress Shop could be helpful.
It would also get us some more possible training/qual runs, though I no
longer want to hold up jobs until they can be used for t/q runs.
Bad idea? Good idea? Other ways to do this?
Here is a draft. Any thoughts on improving it? I may go through the
shop samples for other ideas, unless someone else volunteers. (and
yes, I know I mentioned several things that haven't happened in a
while ;-).

Hi AX Officers,
Just a reminder that the APOster Letterpress Shop is available as a
resource for publicizing and supporting Chapter events.
It takes a few hours or more, depending on the size of the job to
print something. Both how many characters, how many pieces of paper,
and the size of the type.
Some of the things that have been done in the past:
* posters for the Annual Spontaneous Tuition Riot.
* invitations to US mail for Steak Fry, Initiation/Installation
Banquet, Weekend Projects, After Finals. With or without
envelopes. Sometime post card format to save postage.
* posters to advertise projects. Sometime mixed media. E.g. the bulk
of the poster could be done on a computer and printed with a laser
printer. Then the headline, or a few lines could be done in a
bright colored. Sometimes contrasting with the paper color. We
have type up to two inches in height in a small variety of
typefaces.
* tickets for paid events.
* menus for special events
Graphics (aka Pictures) take a while, unless we already have one.
They have to be sent to an engraving shop to have the metal cut made
that is printed with.
