I was wondering about the printing services you have available. What size posters are you able to print? What kind of paper are they printed on, or do we provide our own paper? Can you print in color? What is the price? Thanks, Heidi Hi Heidi, Just in case APO's Press Shop Manager didn't answer (or forgot to Cc: the rest of us ;-). The downside of our print shop is that this is a volunteer part of APO's service program, and it can takes weeks to months to get a job done. It depends on the job, and how much time our student members have. Expect a minimum of two to three weeks, if paper and graphics are in hand. We've done event tickers, business cards, posters, letterhead, envelopes, etc. You can supply paper. We can supply paper, if its in our inventory. We can try getting paper for you. It's sold at our cost. Fees for actual press use are reasonable. A 1,000 of something in one color is around $2.00 plus the cost of paper. We have an old style press. The type has to be set character by character and is in lead or wood. Graphics/pictures have to be specially ordered from a master provided by you. Unless we have something already set that you like. We do not usually do close registration multi-color work. Fees and paper waste would at least double. We can print an image up to 10" x 15" with some constraints. On paper that can be larger then that. We do not usually do runs larger then a 1,000 or so. The press is fed manually by hand. http://mit.edu/tower/www/PressShop/biba.med.tufts.edu/%257Ealan/Old/Press/ and the pages under it will give you a better idea (it's an expanded web site under development). If you are still interested, we could arrange a time for you to come by and see samples of jobs that have been done in the past, and discuss what you want to print. LSC has an offset print shop, they use to do their movie and lecture posters. They can print up to 17"x22". They sometime do printing for other groups. yiLFS -len
