With regards to Lori mentioning something I said about cutting back
other chapter projects near R/O week, I was not speaking about Reg Day
or Book Exchange; as Darlene has pointed out, they are pretty important
projects for the chapter, for various reasons. I was thinking along the
lines of the other projects such as ushering at the President's
Reception, delivering the class schedules after Reg Day, proctoring the
Freshmen Essay Evaluation, etc. Also, open meetings and open projects
are sometimes scheduled at more propitious times than this term's.
In any case, I think there are a number of issues about City Days which
need to be discussed by the chapter. However, I am not convinced that
the apo-news mailing list is the right forum to be doing it in. Due to
the funny schedule, it is unfortunate that we will not be having a
chapter meeting until another 10 days or so from now. Perhaps that would
be an appropriate forum at which the proper extent of APO's involvement
(and investment) in City Days can be evaluated by the chapter. Certainly
the comments and lists compiled and sent to the list form a solid
foundation for discussion to start from.
