CPPC Part II will be happening this Wednesday at 6pm in the office. There
are rumors that there will be cookies.
This CPPC will be addressing aspects of Leadership (PCing, Conclaves,
etc), Alumni and whatever else YOU would like us to address.
As before, if you can't make it but would like me to bring something up,
please email me.
The minutes for CPPC Part I are below. YOU should READ them.
YiLFS,
~m.
What Happened at CPPC Part 1???
CPPC
- Only visited once a year, needs a more annual checkup
--Bring back the 5 minute discussion period at every meeting
-Remember: how we run meetings is malleable
Service
-How to be unlame (are we lame?)
--Are there specific demographics we want to target?
--Maybe making requirements more strict
--We should record important things about projects (who went, contacts,
Lies!, etc) in non-essay format
Conclusion: Servecomm (will be functioning) will develop a concise and
useful way to record important project information
-Other: Explore possibility of the Spring Pledge Class running Big Screw.
Servecomm will plan one service project with BU.
Membership:
-What about West Campus????
--We advertise through posters, reg day, BookEx, one-on-one recruitment
but that's not working
--If we reserve Baker's country kitchen for Facilities Appreciation day
maybe we could entice some West Campus Folk to help
-The MVP will look into a policy for prospectives found during
non-recruitment period. Should be talked about with the entire chapter.
Fellowship:
-We will have one non-office non-SteakFry/IBanquet/SFF study break (like
ice skating!) this term
-Membership retention
--FVPs haven't been able to address this
--Paper invitations really need to happen; perhaps a web survey as well
Alumni:
-We need to update our Alumni database
-Get MIT's info, give to Nationals, ask National's for what they have, if
we're feeling nice give it back to MIT
--Alex Will be the Alumni DB Chair
